mirand july rocks, not only because she is multitalented and pretty much self-sufficient (at least in the world of art), but because she puts her audience, in whatever outlet she’s using, at ease with her life affirming themes.  if you don’t know who she is, don’t worry – her name alone expresses her volume of rocking-ness. to help you understand the goddess that is her: she’s an artist, an actress, an author, and a filmmaker, among other things, who wrote this blissful film. im a sucker for an awkward drama, with a lot of pauses, that reveals the oddities which people are “plagued” with (and thankfully so; life would be boring in their absence). if these qualities entertain you, feast your eyes on this movie. does anyone else have an uncomfortable crush on john hawkes? if you’re all like “no, wtf, rofl”, i dont even care. HE IS ENDEARING.
